MED, SAVE ENERGY AND OBTAIN A BETTER COMFORT.

ELMO and MORIS Italia are proposing, since several years, a range of inverters, called MED (Motion Eco Drive) dedicated to the motor drive for hydraulic elevators.

The MED inverter is now evolving and expanding into:

•  MED sensorless, UP direction (no encoder on the motor), for 50 Hz motors (60 Hz are optional), expecially suitable for modernization since motor or main valve replacement is not necessary.
•  MED closed-loop, UP direction (digital encoder on the motor), for 50 Hz motors (60 Hz are optional).
• MED closed-loop, UP+DOWN direction (digital encoder on the motor), for 50 Hz motors (60 Hz are optional), for the maximum efficiency by reducing energy consumption and oil heating.

 Among MED advantages:

• nominal cruising, maintenance and relevelling speeds can be independently set
• acceleration and deceleration times can be set
• motor starting current is drastically reduced
• the downward speed can be set at a higher value than the upward speed
• an upper power consumption can be set, automatically reducing the upward speed with increasing load in the car
• the overpressure valve can be set with high currents obtained from the MED

 For all these reasons, the MED inverter, coupled with our dedicated power unit, can lower the power rating (if necessary) and does lower total energy consumption up to -25%* (value obtained from real installations tests).
