Sixty years after its foundation, today Amref is the largest African health organization operating on the continent.
Health is the road to global development. A road that leads to the lowering of mortality and the spread of infectious diseases, guaranteeing economic growth: it is estimated that with each 10% increase in life expectancy at birth corresponds to an economic growth of 0.4 % per year.
The health of the world passes through Africa. The second most populous continent in the world is the most backward in terms of health.
